Choosing the right camera is actually depends on what level of CCTV security you want to have.

Camera types.

• Standard Box type camera - this are the first type of rectangular shaped cameras which needed brackets and buy separate lenses.
• Dome Cameras - good for indoors and if you want a better and discreet camera on your ceiling. With right positioning these camera are hardly noticeable.
• IR Cameras - Cameras cannot see at dark specially the colored ones. so an IR Camera will enable you to monitor even at night.
• Speed Dome - Are rotating pan tilt zoom capable cameras. Advisable if you want monitoring and following certain moving objects.

Indoor or Outdoor?

You should also know where and what temperature your camera will be into. For Box type cameras - you can add housing, fan, and heater.

CCTV or Closed ciruit television security systems basically is composed of camera, monitor, and a recorder.

The camera will capture the images, recorder - will keep images, monitor will show images.

 Advantages of CCTV security system.

1. Remote Monitoring. You dont have to move around to monitor different places. Which is a big factor saving time, manpower and mobility.

2.General View. Since you are viewing in one place with properly positioned cameras you rarely miss important situations.

3. protection. Knowing the status beforehand will prepare you to decide what to do. Or even call for a back-up.

 4. Evidence. Knowing who does it, how he does it - will help you a lot not only in filing charges on court but knowing what you need to do to improve security systems.
